FromScratch is available in English and French. Your choice applies to the interface, the agent's replies and plan, and the e-mails we send you. The language of your site, on the other hand, is whatever you ask for. This page explains where to switch and what follows the setting.

Switch the language

  1. Open the user menu (your avatar, top right).
  2. Under Language, pick English or Français.
  3. The page reloads in the new language.

On a phone, the same setting is in the app menu. The choice is saved on your account, so it follows you on every device where you sign in. Before you sign in, the public website has its own language switch in the header and the footer, and French pages live under /fr/ (for example this help center is at /fr/aide/).

Tip

If you share a link with someone, they see the interface in their own language setting, not yours.

What follows your language

What Follows the language?
Buttons, menus, messages of the app Yes
The agent's replies, questions and plan Yes
Notices in the chat (workspace starting, credits, pauses) Yes
E-mails (confirmation, password reset, receipts) Yes
The text of the site you build No: it's what you ask for

The agent speaks your language

The agent writes its replies, its questions and the steps of its plan in your interface language, even when your request or the template is in another language. If the interface is in English and you write in French, the conversation still follows the English setting; switch the interface if you'd rather chat in French.

Your site's language is up to you

The words on your site are content, and you choose them. Ask for it in your message, for example:

Example prompt
Write all the text of the site in Spanish. Keep the navigation short: Inicio, Servicios, Contacto.

If you don't say anything, the agent writes the site in your interface language. You can also ask for a site in two languages:

Example prompt
Make the site bilingual English / French with a small EN | FR switch in the header. Same pages in both languages.

The interface language and billing

Prices, plans and invoices don't change with the language: plans are billed in euros whatever language you use. Stripe's checkout and portal pages follow Stripe's own language detection.

FAQ

Are other languages available for the interface?

Not at the moment: the interface is available in English and French. Your sites can be in any language you ask the agent for.

I switched the language but the agent still answers in the old one.

Send a new message after the page has reloaded: each new reply uses the current setting. Earlier replies stay as they were written.

Can I set a different language for my e-mails?

E-mails follow the language saved on your account, the same one as the interface.
