Try it before you share it

Use the live preview like a real visitor: click through every page, fill in the forms, check mobile, and understand why your workspace sleeps and wakes.

The preview isn't a picture of your site — it's your real app, running in your project's own workspace. Before you put it online, spend five minutes using it like a visitor would. It's the cheapest way to catch problems.

A quick test checklist

Go through your site in the preview and check:

  1. Every page and link. Click each menu item and each button. Does it go where you expect?
  2. Forms. Fill in the contact, sign-up or booking form with test data and send it. Does it confirm? Ask the agent "show me the booking requests received so far" to check it was saved.
  3. Real content. Prices, phone numbers, addresses, opening hours — typos are easy to miss.
  4. Mobile. Switch to Mobile above the preview and go through the main pages again.
  5. Empty and error cases. Send a form with a missing field. A good site tells you what's wrong instead of doing nothing.

For a shop, also add a product to the cart and go through the checkout — see Create an online store.

Example prompt
Test the booking form yourself: book a cut for next Friday at 10am, then tell me if the request appears in the list of bookings and whether a confirmation message is shown.

When you find a problem

Describe what you did and what happened, as precisely as you can:

Example prompt
On mobile, when I tap "Book now" on the home page, nothing happens. On desktop it works.

The agent can reproduce it in the preview, fix it and check again. If the page shows an error, say so and copy the visible error text.

Tip

Ask the agent to check its own work: "take a screenshot of the services page on mobile and fix anything that overlaps". It can see the page and the errors it reports.

Your workspace sleeps and wakes

Each project runs in its own private workspace. To save resources, a workspace goes to sleep after a while without activity. Your files and everything you built are kept.

When you come back:

  • Opening the project wakes it up. You may see Connecting to your workspace… or Starting the live preview… for a moment.
  • If you send a message while it's asleep, the chat shows Waking up your workspace and your message is sent automatically once it's ready.
  • The very first start of a new project shows Preparing your workspace and takes about a minute.

Note

The preview is only for you (and people you share the project with). It isn't a public address. To give your site a real address anyone can visit, publish it.

Show it to someone before publishing

If you want a friend or colleague to look at the project before it goes live, use Share in the top bar and invite them by name or email. Editor lets them chat with the AI, build and publish; Viewer lets them look only.

Preview vs published

The preview always shows your latest changes. A published site shows the version from your last publish — it doesn't change until you republish. More in Preview vs published site.
