Your account and signing in
Create an account with Google, GitHub or e-mail, confirm your address, reset a forgotten password and fix the most common sign-in problems.
On this page
Your FromScratch account holds your projects, your plan and your credits. You can sign in with Google, with GitHub or with an e-mail address and a password. This page covers creating the account, confirming your e-mail, resetting a password and solving the usual sign-in problems.
Create your account
On the sign-in screen (Sign in at the top of the website, or any Start building button), you have two kinds of options:
- Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub: one click, no password to remember. Your address is already verified by the provider, so you land straight in your workspace.
- Continue with email: click Sign up (under No account yet?), fill in Name, Email and Password (At least 8 characters), then click Create an account.
Note
The buttons shown depend on what is enabled on the platform. If you don't see Google or GitHub, use e-mail.
When you create your account you receive the Free plan's welcome credits. See Plans and the free tier.
Confirm your e-mail address
After signing up with e-mail, the screen says Check your inbox: We've sent a confirmation link to your address. Open that e-mail and click the link. You see Confirming your email…, then Email confirmed! and you are redirected to your workspace.
Until the address is confirmed, signing in with your password shows Your email address hasn't been confirmed yet. Click Resend the confirmation email (or Resend the email on the confirmation screen) to receive a new link.
Tip
Can't find the e-mail? Check your spam folder, then use Resend the email. A confirmation link that is too old shows Invalid or expired confirmation link.: just request a new one.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password?.
- Enter your e-mail and click Send the link.
- The screen says Email sent: If an account exists for this address, a reset link has just been sent.
- Open the link, then on Choose a new password fill in New password and Confirm password, and click Reset password.
- Password updated: you are signed in.
If the link is incomplete or too old you see Invalid link or Invalid or expired link.: request a new one from step 1.
One account per e-mail address
Your account is tied to your e-mail address. If you first signed up with e-mail and later click Continue with Google with the same address (or the other way round), you land in the same account, with the same projects and plan.
Sign out
Open the user menu (your avatar, top right) and click Sign out. Your projects keep their state: the next time you sign in, everything is where you left it.
Collaborators
To work with someone on a project, they need their own FromScratch account. Then use Share in the project and type their name or e-mail: Editor lets them chat with the AI, build and publish; Viewer lets them look only. Shared projects appear in their Shared with me list.
Account questions
To change the e-mail address of your account or to delete your account, write to us through the contact form with the topic Account / sign-in, from the address of the account concerned. See Getting help. How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.
FAQ
I signed up with Google. Can I also use a password?
No: an account created with Google or GitHub has no password, so Forgot password? sends no link for it. Keep using the same Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub button.
Sign-in says the e-mail or password is incorrect.
Check the address for typos, then reset the password with Forgot password?. If you originally signed up with Google or GitHub, use that button instead.
Can several people share one account?
It's better to give each person their own account and share projects with Share: everyone keeps their own sign-in.
