When a free trial is running, you can try a paid plan, publishing included, without typing a card number. If you don't add a card before the end, the subscription simply stops and nothing is charged. This page walks you through the trial from start to finish.

How to start the trial

  1. Open the user menu (your avatar, top right) and choose Billing, or click Change plan.
  2. On the plan card that offers the trial, a badge announces the trial, for example …-day free trial, no card needed, with the exact number of days. No code is needed: the trial is applied automatically.
  3. Click Try Starter free (the button carries the plan's name).
  4. Stripe's secure checkout opens. Confirm the subscription; since the trial needs no card, Stripe doesn't ask for one.
  5. You come back to the Billing page with the message Subscription active — credits added.

You can also reach the trial from inside a project: when you run out of credits, the chat card You're out of credits has a Continue with Starter button, and the message the agent writes when your credits run out reminds you that the trial is free, with no card needed.

Note

The length of the trial and the credits it includes are set by the platform and can change. The badge on the plan card always shows the current offer.

What you get during the trial

During the trial you are on the paid plan, with its features: publishing your site online, a custom domain, file attachments, the code view, export and the premium models. You receive a set of trial credits to build with. The plan's full monthly amount of credits arrives with the first paid invoice, if you decide to keep the plan.

At the top of the Billing page, a banner reads Starter free trial until followed by the end date, with the reminder: Add a card before then to keep Starter. Otherwise you go back to the Free plan — nothing is charged.

Keeping the plan after the trial

To keep the plan, click Add a card in the trial banner. It opens Stripe's billing portal, where you enter a card. At the end of the trial the subscription becomes a normal paid subscription: you are charged the plan's monthly price and your credits are set to the plan's monthly amount.

Tip

Adding a card early doesn't shorten the trial. You keep the trial until its end date, then the first payment happens.

If you don't add a card

Nothing happens on your side and nothing is charged. When the trial ends, the subscription is cancelled automatically and your account returns to the Free plan:

  • the trial credits end with the trial, so your balance drops to 0;
  • paid features (publishing, custom domain, attachments, code view, export, premium models, developer API) are no longer available;
  • your projects stay in your account. You can come back to a paid plan at any time from the Billing page.

Warning

A site you published during the trial is tied to a paid feature. If keeping it online matters, add a card before the trial ends.

Trial or promo code?

The trial is an automatic promotion: you don't type anything. If you received a private promo code instead, click Have a promo code? under the plan cards, type it, then click Apply. A confirmation shows which offer it unlocks; then choose your plan above.

FAQ

Can I take the trial twice?

Promotions are limited per account: once used, a trial isn't offered again to the same account.

Will I be charged automatically at the end of the trial?

Only if you added a card. Without a card, the subscription ends and nothing is charged.

Can I cancel during the trial?

Yes. Open Manage subscription in the user menu or at the bottom of the Billing page and cancel in Stripe's portal. See Cancel your subscription.
