Currency and shipping
Switch your store from euros to another currency, set product prices in it, and keep shipping options available at the checkout.
On this page
Every new store sells in euros. If your customers pay in another currency, the agent can switch the whole store for you. This guide explains what changes, what doesn't, and how shipping fits in — because a checkout without a shipping option can't be completed.
Change the store currency
Ask in plain words, naming the currency:
My customers are in Tunisia: switch the store to Tunisian dinar (TND).Sell in US dollars instead of euros. The agent switches three things at once:
- The store's currency — what prices are displayed in.
- The region — the selling zone the storefront uses for prices and checkout.
- The shipping options — each one gets a price in the new currency, so customers can still choose a delivery method at the checkout.
Warning
Existing product prices are not converted. A product priced 29.90 € doesn't become an automatic dollar or dinar price. After the switch, the agent tells you which products have no price in the new currency, and sets the new prices with you.
Set prices in the new currency
The simplest way is to give the new prices yourself — you know your market better than an exchange rate:
Now set the prices in TND: "Sand mug" 75, "Terracotta bowl" 98, "Espresso cup set of 2" 85, "Large serving plate" 140.If you import your catalog from Shopify or WooCommerce, you don't need to do this: the import brings your shop's currency and your real prices (Add products or import your catalog).
Check the checkout
After a currency change, run one complete order in the preview:
- Add a product to the cart and open the cart: the total is in the new currency.
- Go to the checkout, enter an address and choose a delivery method. If no method appears, ask the agent: "the checkout shows no shipping option".
- Place the order with manual payment, or with the Stripe test card if payments are on.
Note
If you take card payments, Stripe charges in the store currency. Make sure Stripe supports that currency for your account before going live — see Take payments in your store.
Shipping options
The store comes with ready-made shipping options so the checkout works from day one. You can change their names and prices by asking, or by hand in the store admin (its settings hold the shipping and region configuration).
Rename the shipping options to "Standard delivery (3–5 days)" at 6 € and "Express (24 h)" at 12 €.The agent will tell you plainly if part of a request needs the store admin instead of the chat.
Tip
Every product needs to be shippable for the checkout to complete. Products added through the agent are set up for shipping automatically; if an order fails at the last step with a message about shipping, tell the agent exactly what you saw.
Prices shown with the right format
The storefront shows amounts with the currency symbol and keeps them on one line. If a price looks odd (too many decimals, wrong symbol), describe it to the agent with the page where you saw it.
On the live store
A currency or shipping change made in the preview reaches your live store when you republish — see Publish and update a shop.
FAQ
Can my store show several currencies at once?
The agent switches the store to one currency. If you need more, describe your case to the agent before you start, or contact us.
Does changing currency delete my products?
No. Products stay; only their prices in the new currency have to be set.
Do I need to change the language too?
Currency and language are separate. Ask the agent to translate the shop's texts if your customers speak another language.
